Change Your Life?

Change Your Life.  Ever since known time began, man has looked to better himself, to improve on what he has or doesn’t have.  There is a niggling feeling inside most people that something better exists for them, out there.

And so the quest to search for it begins in earnest.  There must be something better out there, but, what if it isn’t?  Then the desire is put back in the cupboard, door shut and the dust starts to cover again.  But, what if there is?

Life continues as normal, after all, it’s only wishful thinking and wouldn’t work for you even if it was possible.  It’s ok for other people to have what they want and be happy. Not you?  Why?

Do they have more of a right than you do?  No, only if you let your line of thinking continue in that way.  There is enough in this world for everyone, so, why not start believing that and build yourself up instead of knocking “you” down.  You are equally entitled to a better style of life that you want as anyone else.

When growing up, how have elders and family, friends been with what they say.  Any of these sound familiar:

It won’t work for you

It’s only for the lucky few

You won’t amount to much

You will never get anywhere in life

You are a waste of space

You have to work hard for what you want

Life is a b…… and then you die

Keep your head down, work hard and you’ll get your reward in heaven.  (I want it before then!!)

You’re not clever enough

You need money to start with, you’ve none, how are you going to do it?

Money is the root of all evil (No, it isn’t, a big misquote, check it out yourself for what it actually says)

And so on, and so on… You’re not…………… (fill in the blank)

Strangely, you don’t have to put up with any of that sort of thinking anymore. Enough is ENOUGH!!

No, this is not primarily about positive thinking and belief.  They do play a big part, but, they themselves are not sufficient.  There is more to it than that.

You can change your life, in fact, you can design the lifestyle of your choice, instead of living by default.  By default, I mean, just let life throw whatever it likes at you and not do anything about it.  Isn’t that crazy, just allow things to happen?  Isn’t it time you did something about it?

Yes, it is time you did something about it.  But what?  You know that thing that you keep in the cupboard to let dust gather, along with all of the other unrealised dreams and ambitions?  Open that cupboard wide and let the fresh air in!!

It is well overdue for you to let them out so that they bring you what you’ve wanted.  This has nothing to do with religion, although, they have been telling us about it, just not very clearly enough for everyone to understand.  There appears to be an elite few who have what they want, the health, the wealth AND happiness.  True, there are plenty who have the first 2, but, they are not happy with what they have, don’t know how.  But, you can learn to be happy as well.

Now, not everyone wants to be rich, have the same type of house or car.  If they did, then the plans would be the same forever, put a lot of architects out of business as well as car designers!!

How much do you want?  Honestly, could you cope with that amount, in one go?  Choose something believable, an extra $4000 a month, $5000, what about $10000 for starters?  Then when you get there, go up another notch as your belief increases.

Already a millionaire or billionaire, great, but, you want to be happy with your riches.  Then read on.

Each of us has the inbuilt ability to be happy.  What we need to do is re-programme the mind, but, not just any old part of the mind.  The bit that needs to be convinced is the sub-conscious mind.  Oh-oh, I hear you say/think, sounds a bit airy fairy to me, wishful thinking and all that.  Ok, then stop reading and continue with how things are, please.  You will do yourself no favours by reading this further.  You’ve been warned!!

If you’re still with me, great, it’s the first step to a great new life.  It’s been waiting for you to take it and now I can head you in the right direction.  Where you go from here is up to you.  Exciting!!

Now, let’s get back to what I was saying earlier.  In case you missed it, we need to convince the sub-conscious mind for the changes to happen.  Why?  It is the hub of what gets attracted to you. You know what you think with your conscious mind, but, you have no direct control over the sub-conscious.  It controls you, but, don’t worry, there is more about it a bit further down.

Before we go any further, I want to remove any confusion or misunderstanding that you might have.  Let’s go back in time a bit, so that you can get a handle of what’s been happening.

When you were born, your only challenge was to stretch your legs with a kick or two inside your mothers tummy.  All you did was keep yourself occupied with getting bigger.  Outside sounds influenced you , even though you had no idea what it was.  Certain music would settle you, certain foods your mother ate would make you feel good.  Sometimes, without knowing, you would send a signal to her for certain things, like coal, dirt, fish and so on.  In other words, you developed the ability to create the world you wanted.   So, before you were born, you could do it.

The challenge began when you came into the real world.  How were you going to do it now?  New rules applied here, but did they?  No, but, you had no understanding to do anything else really.  Unfair, true, it’s what happens next that counts.  It is what makes you exactly who you are today.

What has been found out by science, is that what the sub-conscious believes is what makes your reality.  It does more than that.  It controls your breathing, your heart beat, your circulation, your healing and all the other automatic bodily stuff we don’t have to “consciously” think of.  By influencing the sub-conscious with the conscious mind, things can change for the better.

A question for you, which of your thoughts are genuinely yours?  Think about that, whatever thought is in your head, where did its source come from.  Was it your mother or father, an uncle or auntie, something you heard on the TV or radio?  Quite something to think about, isn’t it?

One way in which to change is to start unlearning what you have learnt.  Another is to challenge what it is you’re thinking and how you think.  Write down a list of all the things that are happening in your life that you no longer wish to be part of your life.  In fact, split a page in half, then, for every negative, write down the positive alternative.  Spend some time on this, it is important.  You may surprise yourself as to how your life is. If it’s looking bad, don’t concern yourself too much.  You can change it, not matter what your age is, where you are or how much money is in your pocket.

To start with making the change, get a pocket sized card.  Write down a date that you can believe for, or, put it down for 12 months time, and put down what you would like.  If you would like $10000 a month, write that down.  If you want a new car, write that down.  If you want a bigger house or a new house, write it down.  If you want to meet your lifelong soul partner, write that down.  Whatever it is you want, write it down.  That’s simple enough, wouldn’t you agree?  Write down something like, “By  15 October 20.., I will have ………………….”.

With your card, wrap some clear sellotape around it, or, place into a small plastic wallet.  After all, you want to look after what you want, don’t you?  Keep it safe because you are going to be making a lot of use out of it.  We will now look at the next stage of the process, again, this is only a small part, but, it’s a start in the right direction.

What you need to do now is the following.  When you get up in the morning, read it, read it out aloud, or loudly in your head.  Then 4 or 5 times during the day, repeat.  Finally, repeat again before you go to bed.  Sound silly?  What’s more silly, to stay where you are, or, do something that can change your life and get you to where you want to be?

Remember what I said earlier about influencing the sub-conscious mind with the conscious one?

Another thing that will help greatly and could save you money as well, is stop buying papers and magazines.  Not only that, but stop watching the news and the soaps.  All they feed you with is bad news, negative opinions and stuff that will bring you down.  Remember, this is you starting to do your own thinking.  The world out there wants to tell you what to think, now it is time for you to learn “how” to think.  To finally be your own person and be happy with yourself and your life.

If you don’t like yourself very much at the moment, that’s ok, be honest with yourself.  You can and should change that.  No matter how much you dislike yourself, start looking in the mirror and then start by telling yourself that you “like” you.  Write down one good thing about yourself, read that regularly as well.  There is no such thing as an ugly person.  Eventually, you should get to the point where you love yourself, not in a vain way, but in the fact that you have a great life, that you’ve created.

Gradually, you will meet other like minded people who will help you grow.  Likewise, with your own new wonderful experiences and insights, you can help them as well. It may be for life that you know someone, or only for a season, don’t get hung up on that.  So long as it is mutually beneficial to both parties, enjoy it.  When it is time to move on, then move on.

The media have told us what they think is beautiful and what is ugly.  They have to, to survive, they’re ugly by feeding on people’s insecurities.  Then getting them to fit into different boxes.  Trouble is, we all fit into more than one box.  Why? Because we are all unique individuals. We are who we are!!

I would like to tell you something now, after all that I’ve learnt over the last few years and still learn, I have come to know this.  Even though I have not met you, and, I may never meet you.  One thing I want you to know, more than anything else, is that “I, genuinely,  believe in you and that I appreciate your uniqueness.”  Please read that bit again, then again, and then once more, or until it sinks in.  Feel good about yourself.

As you feel good about yourself, then the more you will feel good about others.  Let it be infectious and the let good feeling grow.  Smile, for no other reason other than to make someone else feel good.  If they don’t respond, that’s their issue.  They will feel good about it later when they’re not so hurried or troubled.  You’ve done your part!!

Your time to do something is NOW.  Put the past behind you, it’s already been paid for.  As you create your NOW, you create the future that you want.  Believe that you already have it, close your eyes, see it in your minds eye, smell it, touch it, taste it, know it.  There is more than enough for everyone, go for it.

I know that this is only a short piece, but, believe that you will be guided and shown how to go on even stronger, to bring things that you want sooner, rather than later.  There’s a whole new load of great experiences to have and a big world to visit, people to meet, to help and lots of new tastes and smells.  As well as that, some great scenery!!

There is only one of me, Malcolm, but there are lots of websites out there.  Each of those websites have people like you and me that need to read this.  To begin changing their lives.  Why not tell someone about this article and then, together,  help them?

I’m looking to start my own blog soon but I’m having a difficult time deciding between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal.
